The Problem

Our founder, Charisma DeZonie, encountered a frustrating experience trying to locate a notary for a real estate transaction. The lack of coordination, transparency, and mobile access highlighted a serious gap in the notary industry. During COVID-19, with banks closed or operating under limited hours, many individuals were shut in — yet work carried on. People still needed notarized documents for real estate, healthcare, and legal transactions.

The challenge was twofold: notary services are rarely needed — but when they are, it's often urgent and unplanned. Ironically, many notaries live in our neighborhoods, but because most don't advertise their services, they remain undiscovered. That disconnect creates a frustrating and inefficient search process for the average person.

The Vision

Charisma saw an opportunity to help people by making notary access as easy as ordering a ride. The concept for NOTUREE was born in March 2020 — at the peak of pandemic shutdowns — and development soon began. We envisioned a mobile-first platform that would bring verified notary services to people's fingertips. An experience as seamless as ride-hailing or food delivery, where scheduling, transparency, and trust came standard.

Platform Expansion

After months of coding, testing, and user feedback, NOTUREE launched to connect users with licensed notaries in real time. Now we're expanding beyond individual services to create a comprehensive ecosystem:

We're scaling nationwide and introducing advanced features like Remote Online Notarization (RON) and blockchain-secured records. Our vision extends internationally to Canada, the UK, Australia, and select European and Asian markets. NOTUREE aims to become the global standard for trusted notary services wherever mobile verification and document authentication are needed.
